A Brilliant Present For My Brilliant Fiance - White Gold Cross Necklace

I needed to buy my wife one thing very significant for our anniversary. This will be our first anniversary and I just really wanted to articulate my love and my faith with a great present. I was viewing a lot of white gold jewelry. This is because my wife likes silver better than gold, but I need to give her something of the utmost value. I come across a silver cross necklace, but this is not quite what I'm looking for. I want something of value, but not quite as expensive as the platinum cross necklace I found!

I keep searching. As I am searching I think about my beautiful partner. I think about how true her faith is and how much I respect her for that. I want to buy her something which shows my admiration, my adoration, and my appreciation. I find a few very pretty white gold cross earrings, but she already has a lot of earrings. So I keep looking.

I eventually discover what I am looking for--a white gold cross necklace. It is plain, simple, and totally beautiful--just like my wife. I am positive she'll love it. I instinctively order it the minute I find it.

Unfortunately, the way that I am, I am completely confident when I purchase the gift, however the time between then and giving it to her I convince myself it was wrong, I fret and worry. What if a white gold cross necklace is not the perfect gift to give my wife? She deserves the finest, is it the best I can do?

So, following making myself ill for a fortnight worrying over my wife's response to her new white gold cross necklace, I give it to her.

I hold my breath.

She begins crying! Oh my goodness, what have I done? I nearly begin weeping as well, I try to comfort her and then she gazes at me, and she says,

"Dear, this is the most gorgeous white gold cross necklace necklace I've ever looked at and I feel blessed to boast a spouse such as you who will think to give it to me."

Okay, good, I can start breathing again, she doesn't despise me... hang on, she really likes it...wow, I picked something really good for my wife? Well, that's what she says.

I now know that when I am looking to purchase jewelry for my wife, I should always go with my gut instinct. I have known her long enough to know what she likes and she wears that white gold cross necklace every day, so I'm pretty sure I did a good job.
